Greater Good is a nonprofit volunteer service organization serving underprivileged communities in Cape Town, South Africa.
With your SUPPORT our programs in Teaching, Sports and Early Childhood Development will uplift communities in the Cape Flats.
Our launch campaign funding priorities include:

Being Good Stewards:
As stewards of your funds, we are committed to transparency and accountability. The startup seed capital will ensure that we can sustainably operate without running into deficits during our first year. At the end of each financial year, we will conduct thorough evaluations based on financial conditions and pragmatic projections, aligning our priorities with the community’s evolving needs.
Where Your Contribution Goes:
Your contributions will be carefully allocated to maximize the effectiveness of our efforts:
Dedicated Volunteer Housing: Initially, volunteers will stay with host families and partner housing. When our initiatives gain momentum, we plan to lease a dedicated volunteer house to accommodate volunteers from around the world.
Program Funding: Our various programs will require financial support to function efficiently. The surf program, in particular, demands significant upfront investments for surfboards and wetsuits to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for participants. Our school readiness program will need all the equipment to ensure that the program is effective and runs smoothly from day one. We would need things such as; curriculum books, writing books, copy paper, crayons, pencils etc.
General Fund: Any remaining funds will be allocated wisely by our governing board to areas that need support the most, ensuring that every dollar contributes to the community’s growth.
Future Fund: Fires are one of the devastating downfalls of living in the Cape Flats. Due to many makeshift homes being built on top of one another and not having sufficient electricity. Fires tend to break out often in the community, leading to many homes being burnt down, and sadly sometimes loss of life. We would like to explore ways of assisting to combat this problem.
